2014 marks the 3rd year that Wendy Maltz LCSW, DST is teaching a Spring term graduate level course entitled, “Human Sexuality in Counseling” for the Couples & Family Therapy Program in the College of Education at the University of Oregon. Doctoral students from Counseling Psychology program also enroll. This dynamic, information rich course provides an overview of a wide range of sexuality concerns and how they can impact individuals and relationships. Wendy presents a plethora of treatment strategies and techniques to help mental health professionals effectively address sexual problems and related issues. This popular class honors cultural and sexual diversity, promotes concepts of sexual health, ethics, and safety, and is geared to helping practitioners develop comfort and confidence in discussing sexual concerns.
